ParticipantHey Joe, what’s the maximum amount of protein you’d recommend someone having in a single meal?
I’m in the middle of my first prep and the diet that my coach gave me has some things that look strange to me..
Mainly it’s the breakfast:
2.5 cups egg whites
2 scoops whey protein
60z sirloin
6oz potatoes
When I add up the macros of this breakfast its 170g protein! In all my years of looking at muscle building diets I’ve never seen that much protein in a meal, not even close.
I’m just curious what you think about that, if eating that much protein in a meal has any efficacy or not.
If you need some context about me I’m eating about 400g protein per day, 375 carbs, 90 fat. I’m 255lbs 5% bf and 7 weeks out.
One more question, do you or have you ever relied on drinking egg whites as a protein source? That’s another thing that’s completely new to me in my diet and in your diet I don’t see any liquid egg whites, just wondering if there’s a reason why.
And also wanna say thanks for what you do Joe, I’ve never asked a question on here before cause you’re so thorough! I love being a student of bodybuilding, I’ve watched countless hours of your videos and its made my program 10 times better along with the programs of my clients.
