Are you in favour of adding metabolic circuits/hiit workouts on rest days? (Prefer them to steady state cardio)
For example, i am currently running the half body 2.0 program and my training days are normally Monday(Upper), Tuesday (Lower), Thursday (Upper) and Friday (Lower).
If for wednesday(rest day), i do around 30-40 mins of different exercises mostly bodyweight or slightly weighted, do you think that this will interfere with the muscle growth process as well as recovery?
Some exercises i thought of including are:
Cardio Rower machine
Deadlifts about 50% of 1 RM
Weighted Step ups
Squat Jumps etc..
