    Hey Coach! I’d be curious to know your thoughts on Mike Mentzer and his philosophy of only 1 working set and training infrequently.

    I’ve read and listened to his tapes, and from a logical standpoint, he makes some really good points. However I haven’t seen any other bodybuilders implement this style of training since Mentzer passed away.

    The only notable figure that implemented the Heavy Duty style of training was Dorian Yates, and we all know how impressive his physique was.

    I wanted to know your thoughts on this style of training, and how one might implement the principles of Heavy Duty to a more modern, more effective split and programming style. Hope that makes sense.
