Revers Pec Dec vs. 45 degree row
My understanding is that the reverse Pec dec, although still great for rear Delts, does not take the Delts into a fully shortened position because of the alignment of the movement, and that the movement aligns more with the mid traps. My understanding is A 45 degree row where the arm moves into full extension will fully shorten the rear Delt because that angle is more aligned with the muscle insertion points.
Is there a reason, to choose reverse Pec dec over a 45 degree angle row? Does the Pec dec load more in the lengthened position?
Additionally, Should reverse cable flys be performed with a 45 degree angle?
I look forward to your answer
Thanks!
