ParticipantI’m accustomed to doing supersets with no rest in between exercises, but rather to rest when each round is up. The app is programmed to start rest times when reps and weight are logged for each set, meaning the 90 second timer starts after each exercise. When I’ve run the workouts in this way they always take me longer than the predicted 45min. Is my pacing just bizarre or should I only be resting between rounds?

ParticipantI should note that I’ve only just finished phase 1 so for all I know the timing might work out differently with the volume in phase 2.

ParticipantI probably could have worded my post better – my question is more about the prescribed rests, and I was using the 45-min marker as the indicator that I might be resting too much if I’m resting for about 90sec after every exercise. It did seem like when I powered through the supersets and only rested between rounds the workout was more likely to fall closer to that 45min range, whereas resting between exercises took it closer to 75-90min. I wondered whether the default setting of having the rest timer pop up every time a set is logged should have been overwritten for supersets in the program, or if I really was meant to rest for 90sec after each exercise no matter where it fell during the superset. I hope that clarifies my question.
