Hey Joe! Im a newly NASM CPT but i dont necessarily agree with the OPT Model and NASM’s methodologies. How did you train your clients starting out as a new PT? I myself run a PPL split and have found it beneficial beginner to advanced.

This is definitely a very big topic. Many points to cover. Training split, session goals, style of training is always case by case dependent. And the part often overlooked is how often you are seeing that client and how they will adhere to any plan outside of your guidance. Regardless, from 13 years ago when I first started training to now the foundation had always been manageable splits that can be progressed, progression of technique, finding the language that speaks to the client to work hard. Those are a few.

100% goal dependent. I’ll do a video reply on this. Make sure to watch everything in “Trainers corner” as well. Lots of things there you need as a new PT
