In the video it mentions eliminating momentum and direction but how much do these principles relate to movement exercises versus muscle exercises? On a heavy bench should I be letting the weight down slowly to get the eccentric and pausing at the bottom to separate the direction in order to get that perfect form? Or should this not be as big of an issue on the big 3 compound movements? Thank you!
Thank you Bryce for the thorough response! My follow up question to that would be if you’re going to be a hybrid lifter (lifting for strength as well as a hypertrophy) how should your split be managed to reap optimal results? For example, I’m doing Ben Pollacks Power Building split. Should my big compound movements be more focused on movement (from “a” to “b”) and the accessories to focus more on hypertrophy and feeling the muscle move? Thank you again for your help!
