Pretty weird question, but have you ever trained anyone with Pectus Excavatum (sunken chest)? Or are there any movements you would prescribe to help change the shape of the chest? Been struggling with this for a long and haven’t made much progress with it. Any insight would help. Thanks brother.
I have not. And from my understanding, as it’s mainly caused by bone structure, there is nothing training can do to change the bone structure. That being said, depending on your specific situation (as I’ve seen a lot of different “degrees”) it shouldn’t effect your chest training too much, as it doesn’t drastically change the way the pec fibers crosss over the shoulder joint. The “big arch” and shoulders retracted in the bottom of the ROM of presses/flys should still be the most helpful advice
