Planning cut

    Hi Joe,

    First of all thank you for an amazing app and knowledge. I’ve been bulking for almost four months s following your guidelines and made awsome progress. I’m coming to a point now bodyfat% wise where it’s time to go on a cut.

    I’ve been looking around the app and found that you generally reccomend thisĀ  approach when starting a cut:

    – Find maintenance
    – Add pump work/intensifiers
    – Add cardio
    – lastly reduce calories


    My question is how do you approach it when you’re currently running a program where you have pumpwork/intensifiers in the program?
    I’m running your arm specialisation program and been running on week 6 for about 7 weeks and planning on continue running it during the cut. Would you recommend dropping the intensifiers etc and going to the volume in the block before where volume is a bit lower and finding maintenance at that for around 2 weeks and then adding it back in? Or would it be better to just keep volume as is and go straight into a slight deficit (since adding pump work was to get below maintnance) and then add cardio?

    Hey Joe, thanks for your detailed response. I’m going on a longer cut(12-16 weeks) to get really lean so your response answered my questions!
