Before I ask I know that this is a small variable in nutrition, but I want to know how to optimize as much as I can.
After you workout I have heard that is the time your body most wants to store carbs as glycogen in muscles. If I lift and then walk for about an hour and a half is it better to eat carbs after the lift or walk if I want the carbs to be converted to glycogen the best?
Currently I drink a 32g protein shake between the lift and walk. Then when I get home after the walk I eat a 40g protein meal with carbs.
