Hey coaches. I’ve been working out for almost two years now and have never used a pre workout. My effort is very good and I am accustomed to being able to take myself to failure when I want to. I don’t necessarily want to pay for pre-workout, and I don’t want to get into using caffeine regularly and become dependent on it. Instead, I was thinking about using smelling salts right before hard sets. I would probably only use them for 2-3 sets a week, before a hack squat set or bench press set. Do you guys have any experience with smelling salts? Would you recommend them for a use like this? Do you have any brands you would recommend. If I decide to use neither of these products, and I’m good at taking myself to failure, will I see just as much progress without pre-workout than I will if I use pre-workout? Thanks!
