Question about workouts after a regular hypertrophy block. I’ve recently noticed that I have not been able to progress my lifts from work out to work out so I decided to back off and do sort of a “primer” phase. I’ve done a couple of weeks of only unilateral exercises where I really focus on simply squeezing the muscle that I’m trying to work. I’m noticing that I’m significantly more sore than after a work out where I’m trying to progress my lifts even with very minimal volume. How do y’all balance doing traditional progressive overload and workouts where you simply focus on contacting muscle against load (as B
Pak would say). I feel like I’m getting more out of the primer with than the heavy lifting stuff.
