In the programmes should we be looking to constantly progress volume between weeks?
Eg. If Week 4 the programming is 3×8 and to keep maths simple let’s say the weight is 100kg. That’s a total volume of 2400kg.
And then in week 5 the programming changes to 1×5-8, 1×8-12 and this time we manage to hit 6×120, 10×100, which is a total volume of 1720kg
Is this ok that although we’re increasing the weight, we’re not processing the volume?
Last sentence should say “progressing the volume”
I believe that Joe manages volume by increasing the variables of weight and reps, instead of sets
