My son has recently gotten into lifting so I made him his first program. The one thing he is struggling with is keeping his knee in line with his foot as his feet turn out dramatically and his knees cave in. He seems to be okay when squatting with a bit of a wider stance but any single leg exercises like lunges and split squats, even box jumps with both legs, his toes are pointed out and knee caves in.
Are there any techniques to correct this without forcing his joints to move in a way they aren’t meant to?
Thanks coach! Yea he doesn’t have any pain so far which is good. I’m not pushing any type of specific stance just whatever feels comfortable to him that doesn’t put anything in a vulnerable situation. I’ll look into the mobile meathead!
