Hey guys! Do you guys think that protein bars are a good source of calories? I tend to eat RX Bars, just wanted to hear your thoughts on these types of foods. RX Bars claim to be zero added sugar. Thanks!
Personally, I prefer meals these days. I was a big protein bar/shake guy in the past. I just find better appetite control, satiety, and honestly performance from eating meals of Whole Foods.
I think companies can claim “no added sugar” if sugar hasn’t been added during production or packaging even though most of the ingredients are predominantly sugar. So it’s a bit of a scam.
Building your diet around good lean protein sources wouldn’t”t be a bad idea. If I have bars available, I will probably end up over eating 🐷
