I’ve recently added these to my work snacks. Had them in the past and knew they were pretty decent but since I’ve been really really dialed in on my macros adding a bag of these mid afternoon and then later afternoon really helped cut down on the need to bring a larger protein source with me for lunch when I need some carbs and a light protein to hold me over for family dinner time. Ingredients are…

Protein Blend (Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate), High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Corn Starch, Psyllium Husk, Salt

    Calories- 140 Fat-2g Carbohydrates-5g Protein-19g

So from my point of view the macros and ingredients are perfect. But the question is, is the protein source reliable enough? I’m in deficit right now for calories for about another 4-6weeks but I’m making sure my protein, fats and carbs stay on point. Especially protein. If I wasn’t in a deficit I wouldn’t be as questionable but having two bags of these is nearly 40g of protein. I’m used to getting 90% of my protein from animal sources and not from a “protein blend” I’ve been a consistent tracker of my macros for almost 4 years now and rarely do I substitute in shakes or non animal sources for protein. Not that non animal sources can’t be beneficial. But these if reliable could really open up a door to making adjustments in my diet to complement what I’m already doing.

Thoughts for someone in a deficit or even just in general.
