If I am running a push, pull, lower, rest (repeat) split, would it be more effective to prioritize trap/erector work with rack deads and keep legs at a maintenance level and then swap it for for quad and bam growth or is there someway that both can be done in the same split effectively?
Nothing inherently wrong with putting a deadlift variation on your pull day. Yes, the hips may he involved, but so are a ton of other muscle groups to aid in the complexity of the exercise.
Seeing as you have a rest day after legs, you should be fine. And, if you underperform on pull day, then maybe just assess a volume on leg day that allows you to train at a high level both on legs and on pull.
