I’ve played volleyball for a long while and my legs are really explosive but I’m having a hard time putting weight on the squat.
My high bar squat 1RM is approximately 95kg and is way less than my approximate conventional deadlift 1RM (175kg).
My arms are relatively long and my hips tend to shoot high when deadlifting at high intensity.
I’ll probably have to drop deadlifts for now so these are my main questions:
-what would be some cues to support building squat strength for a guy like me?
-would there be a reasonable ratio between those lifts that I should aim for?
