ParticipantA few years back, I got into training for shows. I did one show, and immediately after started to prep for another, and actually made quite a few changes to my physique, diet and began to advance quickly. Life took a turn, and I slowly fell out of training, going from training 6 days a week, with high level of intensity, and a solid diet, down to 3 days a week, and then i haven’t trained in the last 8 months at all. I know that with muscle memory, I should over a period of time be able to regain muscle mass and ramp up to the previous level of intensity, but I don’t want to overdo it and miss days of training because I pushing too hard initially. Should i basically start with almost no weight, just move through the motions to regain mind/muscle connection prior to really attempting to ramp up intensity, and if so, what would be the best rate of progression to get back to being on my way to rebuild and recomp?
