Is there a safe weight range for single arm preacher curls? I’ve been able to progress them with strict form but with every 5lb jump in dumbbell weight I take I have a greater fear of tear or strain. Is the fear unwarranted or are there limits we shouldn’t exceed when it comes to that type of strict isolation movement?
I’d look at magnetic micro plates. I agree that 5 lb jumps get tough so the micro plates can help. I have also worked beyond the rep range. So if set one calls for 5-8, I may wait to hit 10 for two sessions in a row before I jump up 5 lbs. Or, use the cable machine and then you could do 2.5 lb increases. Hope that helps.
