Hi. So I have been trying to bring up my shoulders for a while. I’m at a loss on what to do. My left shoulder pops and feels super unstable in the proper angle for doing laterals(proper being derived from your sources) and it seems it impairs my ability to properly activate my left lat as well. I have had people look at it and say there isn’t anything wrong, and I just need to practice activation. Idunno about y’all, but pain and popping doesn’t sound like “nothing wrong” to me. Basically in short, wtf can I do to try and build shoulders having a shitty shoulder.
What exercises can you do without the pain? That is THE question. Lots of exercises can build a lot of muscle so it isnt a major disadvantage if you cant do one variation.
OHP seems to feel mostly ok, just very unstable. I feel I have to go more at an inward angle with the front raises, and to feel a good contraction in the rear, it feels it puts strain in the front. Cable raises cuff or not, feel best I would say.

Then just keep doing what works for you, cables are very good!
