Do you think deep tissue massage offers any additional benefit or is it essentially the same in that it will only give temporary relief?
It sounds like some sort of specialized adhesion treatment is ultimately the only way to “fix” this sort of stuff.
My 2 cents as a JFB MFR massage therapist; aggressive techniques do more harm than good. Forcing tissue into “submission” simply indicates to the body to resist, and progress can be extremely limited.
This is a great resource that focuses solely on fascia and the ongoing research.
There are many DR, DO, Chiro, PT, MT that practice the same technique.
