I’ve been doing a lot of workouts lately that include safety bar/front squats for quads hypertrophy. My gym doesnt have a safety bar, so I do front squats which I overall enjoy.
The problem is that I find it difficult to take a set to failure with free weight squats – I’m afraid of getting injured in some way (I mostly train alone without spotters) – so my sets are usually RIR2-3.
Would it be better to swap front squats with squat machine (the weird machine that my gym has – photo included)?
Thanks in advance!
Just a follow up question – I currently use a V-Squat machine (picture added), as its almost impossible to get on the leg press machine and my gym doesn’t have a Hack Squat. Just wondering if there are any major advantages/disadvantages to either facing outwards (which I currently do) Compared to facing I to the machine when squatting?
