Hi Joe and Bryce! Hope I’m not confusing myself but I watched a couple of videos and hear you saying “squeeze first” before the concentric and eccentric(?). can you explain why to do it and in the workout itself?

So if using the right muscles, there is no reason to do a extra intentional “squeeze”?
I find what Joe says is 100% easier with higher reps 10-20, I personally love that rep range for most exercises, for some too exhausting.
