Hi Guys, just a quick question I’ve experienced on two programs now (Terrance program and now the PPL 2.0 that I’m currently following) that the sets/reps are different, now I like Joes method of sets where he does his heaviest first set then backs off with a lighter set with a higher rep range, but on the PPL you just have 3 of the same straight sets. What are the principles for this, do you still lift as heavy as you can for the first set then back off for the next two sets? Can any back me up on this?
I’ve been doing like a pyramid style of sets, where I’ll do my feeder sets, then a working set, then a heavier working set then I’ll back off for the last set? As long as I’m in the rep ranges guided?
