    Hey so I joined the swim team and was wondering if it will help me build muscle while I’m doing my normal workout plan

    In short, No. Do it for some element of cardio, variation to routine, and to be social and/or compete. Not going to build muscle.
    FYI, pro swimmers are in the pool 3-5 hours/day (some even more) and up to 7 days per week for those physiques, plus a lot of gym work.
