So I’m in the middle of a mesocycle of my own workout routine. I’d rather not just switch into a routine on here right in the middle. I’m a bit iffy to transition as well because the massive difference in the program compared to what I do. Aka, the difference in exercises.
As well as not getting stronger on db incline or flat press. I notice a trend of the programs including doing low inclined db press instead of a flat or incline press. I know training the lower chest doesn’t matter to much unless you’re competing. At least that’s what I’ve read and think.
I currently do a upper lower , push , pull
I’d like to grow my back thickness & delts especially. I’ve been progressing decently on my own program. But I’m going to being from 4-6 sets per exercise to 2-3 sets.
I know Joe said that it’s better for intramuscular force when doing lower sets amounts and pushing close to failure.
What are your thoughts on transitioning now? Should I finish my meso first?
