Why is Taurine in pre workouts? Everything I have read about it points to it being a sleep aid. Why would that ever be in a pre-workout?

It does not make sense to be in a pre-workout unless the pre-workout contains harsh/strong stimulants in which case some companies add it to essentially take the edge off. But yes, it makes much more sense to have it in post workout or in the evening. If you watch the video “every supplement I take”, you’ll see that I include taurine as part of my post workout and evening ritual every day. It is much better for a calming affect.

Ashwagandha is another good option to supporting your body get into that parasympathetic state. Have you tried that Joe?

Yes. But ashwagandha is actually an adaptogen. So the effect it has will be dependent on your needs. Not always necessary purely for calming

Has anyone used it successfully preworkout to lessen lower back pumps? I’ve heard that’s a thing but it hasn’t helped mine much.
