I just got an MRI done saying that I have tendinitis. I’ve been working with ATI physical therapy for about 3 Months. They have been putting me through a couple workouts all of the workouts are eccentric movements. I just stoped seeing them because they kept charging me way too much money and I can’t continue to go there. I pretty much cannot do any pushing movements and some movements where my hand is touching my shoulder in that flexion it can cause the pain. The pain feels like a knife coming from my elbow driving all the way up to my top end of my tricep. I have completely taken off the gym for about two weeks except for legs And I’m starting to lose my mind a little bit. My doctors told me to not work out at all but ATI wanted me to slowly progressively work with my elbow so it will eventually get better break it down a little bit at a time so I can heal a little bit at a time. I was just really looking for your guises opinion on the matter and if you guys know any way to help fix this tendinitis. It’s been happening for about a year and a half where I cannot do any pushing movements.

My guy I was also dealing with this. Went to an ortho and he gave me a steroid shot in the elbow and one week later it’s all good. Also gave me exercises like wrist curls and wrist extensions to do. He said that sometimes in bad cases he would also recommend a wrist brace to wear especially while you sleep. Sorry I don’t have a fix for you but find yourself an ortho.

Have you been training any pushin movements this time you have the problem? If it does not go away on its own by resting completely for few weeks then I recommend doing some very light high rep band training for triceps and biceps with neutral grip. Got this tip from alphadestiny it seems to be effective. Doing them everyday for very high reps fast pace not going all the way to failure, just getting some blood flow in the area. I hope you find this useful and atleast try it, you have nothing to lose! Just dont train through pain if it gets worse. Best of luck to my man, praying for you.
