ParticipantAfter watching the pre workout video a few weeks ago I was interested in going with something that wasn’t terribly bad for my CNS, adrenal glands etc.. I personally got really stupid with pre and stacking them and making a insane high stim pre-workout drink that was negatively affecting me mentally and physically.
I was stacking 51/50, full as fuck, Dark Energy, Flame and then a few grams of Yohimbine HCL. It was one hell of a stack and honestly it was stupid. From crashing mid afternoon to having issues in the bedroom I started to become aware that I was taxing the hell out of my body.
I haven’t taken anything high stim in the last three weeks and the last week I’ve been making my own from Joe’s video. Mental Trigger, L-Tyrosine, L-Carnitine, Noopept, GPC but haven’t gotten the poliquin yet. But.. Holy shit Batman is it amazing. It’s a little bit of a pain to make but me personally I enjoy making it, my woman laughs because she calls it my science experiment lol
Now it doesn’t taste great, actually tastes like old socks lol but the drive I have is incredible. The one thing I’ve noticed is that my focus is damn near tunnel vision. I have my music playing in my ears but I don’t hear it as much because I’m so focused on what I’m doing from my form to my sets that everyone and everything else just disappears around me. I’m more relaxed and not all jacked up and just feel happier where I am at. Like a sense of clarity.
The last thing I’ve noticed is that I’m just functioning better. It’s a huge improvement over how I was feeling after ingesting so much crap for so long that my body didn’t need that type of punishment. I’ve been reading through the book “The Edge effect” as suggested, and it’s a great resource of information and is opening my eyes to a lot of things.
It’s amazing how well the body can perform when it’s given the right direction. 💪👊👊

ParticipantMan love your post. Why the L-carnitine? Have you tried meditation? In which video do they suggest “the edge effect”?

The L-Carnitine was part of the pre workout drink in the “pre-workout” video in the guidance section. From what I’ve read on Examine.com L-Carnitine shows to help with depression, muscle endurance, fatigue and a lot of other things. The book
was suggested by Bryce and is relatively cheap on Amazon for $11.00 As to the meditation, I have a very solitary job where I’m able to destress for hours on end and have done some meditating at times. The reason I went and tried this pre instead of the typical store or online pre-workout was that I pretty much was abusing it. I needed to start thinking about my health over getting a massive energy boost from high stim pre-workout. When I leave the gym I’m more at peace with myself and more focused when I’m in the gym. My sets got better, my reps got cleaner and I just feel like it was something that made me less dependent on being jacked up and lifting all the heavy things to focus on what I am there to do and that’s make a better me.June 26, 2021 at 2:15 pm #84174BryceBahm

ParticipantQuick question, I have the Acetyl L-Carnitine for my pre. Would there be any benefits of taking Acetyl L-Carnitine and L-Carnitine together or would that be over kill?
I couldn’t really find any strong answers on it. The best answer I could find was that L-Carnitine would be better taken post workout than pre workout. Thoughts.

ParticipantThanks brother and I appreciate the reply from you and Bryce. The best part of all this is how well Bryce and you explain everything and take personal time out to reply to each of us. That means the world to a lot of us out here trying to be the best us. I’m sure I’ll have more questions in the future. 👊👊
