When training in a deficit how different should training be if any?

I’ve cut out drop sets etc but still training to failure.

I am doing 2 sets for most exercises, 1 heavy then 1 back off.

    My recovery is pretty good.

Just wondering if you guys would advise anything else?

    Thanks in advance.

That’s pretty much it for now. Depends on how big of a deficit, and for how long. Normally when I first drop into a deficit I keep everything exactly the same for a couple weeks. Then just drop pump work, then continue to drop one working set per workout as needed. When I’m at the point of maybe 3-4 weeks out I may be as low as just one working set per exercise. Personally I still always train to failure, but around that 3-4 week mark generally stop doing any forced reps past failure. So sounds like your on the right track. Just keep monitoring performance and make adjustments as needed
