    Hi,

So I do understand that the lats would better be trained through extension of the arm (from front to back) but I’ve come across this exercise called a lat pull-in, I think it was made popular by Doug Brignole. I doesn’t look like other lat movements, you’re supposed to extend your arm out to the side an pull-in to the lower lats, basically creating an adduction of the arm and not an extension.

(here’s the second part because the “Create topic” button disappeared when the text was too long)

I see that range of motion isn’t crazy on this one but since adduction is supposed to be a function of the lats, I was wondering if it would bring something to the table when it comes to lat gains. I do feel like I’m able to get a huge squeeze on this one, plus it seems like my triceps won’t suffer from the stretch as compared to pull-overs, single arm pull-downs…

I’d love to know what you think about it.

    Thanks!
