So I was just scrolling through Jordan Peter’s Instagram profile and I came across a old video of his where he tore his adductor on a hip/glute biased less press of sorts (Don’t know the proper name of the machine), but just in the grand scheme of things are severe injuries inevitable if your training with crazy heavy loads like him? I understand he’s a person that trains at a very high level of intensity, but he also is extremely knowledgeable and trains with proper form. So I’m sure he wasn’t who lifting and was using a load he was comfortable with. Taking this all into consideration is experiencing a injury like this just a inevitable result of training like a mad man (In a good way)? I also understand that taking momentum out of the equation and performing exercises deadstop or just a short pause at the end of the eccentric can help keep things as strict as possible, but Jordan’s tear happens on the concentric portion of the leg press. Just curious as I want to do everything on my power to be able to train as long and s healthily as possible.
