So I rarely feel my upper back contract. Regardless of what I do.
I’ve done warm up sets which have helped but not much. Retracted shoulder blades when doing vertical pulling movements but I was told that’s bad for your rotator cuff. Slowed down my reps, squeezed my shoulder blades together each rep. But never seem to be able to feel my upper back when training it. I need some help. It’s probably my most lagging muscle group on my body. I do feel my upper traps when doing horizontal pulling but that’s it. I’ve always had this issue and I’ve been training for 4ish years.
