Tempeh being a good source of vegan protein, does it have an influence over estrogen? Since 50g of soya is acceptable per day for generally audience(correct me if I’m wrong) , is there any limit on tempeh consumption so that it doesn’t affects the estrogen?
Research actually shows soy consumption can provide a protective effect against estrogen level increases since the phytoestrogens (similar to but not the same as estrogen) inhibit uptake of actual estrogen. I’ve been vegan for 3.5 years now and consume 1-1.5 lbs of tofu daily with no negative effects. (Placed 2nd in my Classic class at 2021 NPC North American Championships.)
