ParticipantHey Joe,
Where is the difference of implanting straight sets of isolation movements, or just extra volume with supersets? For Exempel on push day:
1. after the second set of a press immediately 1 set of a fly, with maybe 2 drops.2. just doing straight sets of presses and straight sets of flys.
I find supersets in a push pull legs split more beneficial what do you think ? And can you pls explain why?

ParticipantThanks for the answer Joe ! It helps a little bit, but I mean the use of isolation movements in a push pull lower split. You doing 3 Big compound movements straight sets in a push pull lower split, for your big muscles. And incorporate some sort of superset or extend sets in these to get some extra volume or end ranges in for the big muscles. Like you do in your generell push and pull workout. Would it be also more beneficial to do straight sets of isolation movements for the big muscles in this case? For example after flat chestpress, dips, and high incline press on push doing straight sets of flys? Or is that the place were supersets or extended sets come in? Or on pullday doing 3 big exercises and than straight sets pullovers, or extend the set with pullovers after your pulldowns? I hope you understand what I mean, it’s a bit tricky to explain what I mean

ParticipantOk that helps more Coach, thanks ! So i have to figure out if I can handle maybe 4 M & P exercises in my push and pull workouts? After my compounds I incorporate a isolation movement with straight sets, look if I can progress, and recover. And if not, I just do it with maybe a extended set to get that movement in. Like you have it in your push and pull workout, after dips, imediatly decline flys. Or after pulldown, pullovers.
