How much value would you put into periodizing training volume over the course of a training cycle? I personally do it because I enjoy it but also have seen some research that suggests it might have benefits when it comes to muscle growth. I usually do a 6 week training cycle in which every 2 weeks I add a set to most exercises and especially lagging body parts then after the 6 weeks I do a de-load week.
