Hey, i watched all the videos around your visions about hypertropy and what i understand is that intensity is the most important and the Recovery to beat your previous performance. In rep/tempo/technique/weight Ect. But when that’s equal do you guys believe in a minimal thresshold per session for volume that you need?

Because if I would do for example 4 hard sets for a muscle i could recover en repeat that same workout after 2 days with the same intensity and harder but with 6 hard sets I don’t or almost don’t recover from it within 2 days.

So is it more beneficial to bump up the frequency to 2-3x s a week with slightly lower volume per session or would you Guys say it’s better to have 1-2x frequency with slightly higher volume per session for hypertropy. (Based that both other variables are the same)

I could think that the slightly lower volume and higher frequency has the prevalence because of more quality workouts through the course of a year.

But I’m curious about your opinions and if I understood it correctly

Thanks I think I got what you’re saying so what are you basically understand when the stimulus is high enough and you can recover from it though probably isn’t much of a difference between once or twice a week frequency for maximum muscle growth is that correct? and why does the litter literally says that twice or often is more beneficial for muscle growth is the hypertrophy not measured correctly?

Because I know a lot of measurements of muscle are done with tape measurement of how big the muscles are or sometimes with fat free mass but of course that’s results is a highly influenced by water retention and or muscle pump

Thanks, i think you got a valid point with research. Just like the research of menno henselman who’s predicts to do 5-6 s fullbody but that’s only possible when the intensity is down. I’ve experienced with a lot of training styles en frequentcys in the past 8 years. I am also a big advocate to do the least amount to produce maximum gainz. So I think I’m going to give one a week with maximum intensity a go and look if I can still improve on that.
