So basically for rir0/failure do I do the grinder rep(extreme effort, as hard as I can, maybe form gets a little compromised) or should I stop just before that (that is if i Start to grind the rep out , I’m stopping..)

So basically , if I’m gonna go to failure on a barbell bench / military press i have to stop before form takes a hit but on stuff like a machine press or a Smith one , i could go more to that grinder right ..
(Just a question , would you consider a dumbbell press a more stable or a less stable movement?)
