I wanted to know what actually happens when you alternate exercises that train different muscles, here are the examples of what I mean:

    Example A:

    1. leg press 2 sets
    2. hamstring curl 2 sets
    3. hack squat 2 sets
    4. stiff leg deadlift 2 sets
    5. leg extension 3 sets

    Example B:

    1. leg press 2 sets
    2. hack squat 2 sets
    3. leg extension 3 sets
    4. stiff leg deadlift 2 sets
    5. hamstring curl 2 sets

Logically thinking using example A, by alternating exercises we are getting extra break for our quads, therefore we should be generating more mechanical tension with each exercise?

With example B after leg press, our quads are getting weaker and weaker, therefore even though we are moving less weight on each following exercise, the intensity seems way higher.

In terms of increasing hypertrophy, is there a difference, if so how big and does it apply to the other muscles (1. chest exercise 2. side delt exercise 3.chest exercise etc.)
