I was just wondering why on your shoulder days you use a rack shoulder press instead of a banded smith shoulder press for the accommodating resistance?

We aren’t using accommodating resistance on shoulder day.

I’m addition, fixing yourself into a smith machine may take away some of the freedom your shoulder need to move correctly through the range long term (asymmetries / restrictions).

He have used accommodating resistance for overhead pressing before. This is mainly about convenience, and a good spotter really accomplishes the same thing as AR

Ok cool. So do you rate the banded smith shoulder press if you don’t have a spotter

Can be a good option. Sure. Just take time with the set up. Make sure you’re good with the ROM on your shoulders.
