Recovering from a ring finger dislocation. It’s splinted and a long recovery. Cannot do any gripping or push-ups etc. What would an upper body workout look like considering this injury. I have wrist cuffs and a training partner at my gym and can do anything from wrist up with loading with cuffs and bands. Looking to build a once a week back,chest, shoulders, biceps, triceps basically total upper body workout for body building. I’m an experienced athletic lifter if that helps when thinking about a series of exercises. Appreciate any help your willing to offer. Thank you!!
Super good info Joe as always. To help clarify, cannot grip anything with my hand or put pressure on the palm as the ligaments are over stretched from the dislocated finger.
So I was wondering if you had ideas using cuffs. I’m doing chest cable flys, triceps extension and leaning back bicep curls, lat pull downs using cuffs with a good back lean and wide arms and lateral raises. Was looking for any other moves to stop muscle loss for entire upper body. Big compound like moves. I will look into those lifting grips.
