Ok guys I have a question. Due to family stuff I have to workout from home and have access to DB up to 180 lbs and bands. I know I can modify most upper body movements and still make plenty of progress but how can I modify for the lower body when my available weight is limited? Thanks a ton!
For quad and glute stuff, I’d say your best bet is lunge/split squat variations. Holding on to two dumbbells, you can overload the main “moving leg” quite a bit still. (Walking lunges, front/rear foot elevated). I’ve done a variation as well stepping on a band and having it over my shoulders while doing split squats. Great exercise/good profile.
For hams, you have DB RDLs, and if you can go heavy enough there, you could actually go single leg there. Not the “best” exercise, but I good option in this case. You can do lying DB leg curls as well. Be sure to actually look through my “MILF Maker” program (own section on the app) for a bunch of other minimal equipment options. I have another 1 or 2 leg curl options on there as well as how to set up an “at home” leg extension with bands.
