NASM cerification is a good way to dip your toes in and makes it easier to find a job as PT which could be very valuable experience. Most PTs start working at gyms, is a good way to learn from others and learn how to attract customers.

Hey man, I feel your pain, I’m just at week 3 of cut and already lost strenght and today a bodyscan showed 1.5lbs of skeletal muscle mass loss. It is frustrating and worrisome because like you I’ve always been on the higher bodyfat side and now trying to combat it at least in my case I feel like my “progress” loosing fat is not as rewarding as that feeling of listing heavier and heavier sh!t. Hang in there man I am mentally attacking those worries every day, in the past I’ve always caved to the fear of loosing strenght, not this time!

    Hi Alextico,
Just checking in, if you still encountering the same issue?
Let me know if you need more help.

    Thanks,
    Mercy

Hi Mercy, I replied to the email I got. Not sure if you got it. Seems like the issue is gone. Last 3 days I was able to dave my workout properly, it takes around 45 seconds to save, I’m sure that is normal.

Thank you for getting back with me

Forgot to mention, the nutrition calculator on this app will advise protein intake to be 1lb per pound of body weight, at least when I ask for a balanced macro split…How is 75g of protein a day betwen lean mass and body weight not a significant difference, enough to hinder progress?

Hello Bryce, so I am interested on your response and maybe I am not understanding it correctly because you say the method is not as important, but for example my lean mass is 195lbs based on a very fancy body scan thing and my total weight is 260lbs. 1g per lb of each of those numbers is a huge difference. Wouldn’t that alter my macros a lot, not to mention one being a lot more protein than the other Wouldn’t excess protein be detrimental in that case or be too little on the other hand.

I understand my question is very general and generic. I am honestly lost with so many programs. Ive been training for over a decade so not a noob to lifting. I felt the program I finish was less demanding than what I used to do, I like roytines that challenge me and make me hurt in a good way. I want the next one to be killer.

Following…been wondering about this myself. An old coach got me obsessed with sodium levels. I’m at 2300mg and is hard to stay there. However I do have to say I retain liquids like a damn sponge when I eat high sodium foods…

Same boat, I’ve been cutting for like 5 months and I am now stuck at 247, been here for like a month. I’ve tried to do carb load days, going up calories for a week or so, basically doing all I can to avoid the inevitable which is accept cut is done and my body needs a break. Going back to maintenance slowly going up in calories, staying up for 4 weeks and hopefully by mid January start a new cut. It absolutely sucks seen the scale going down and then getting stuck, but is how it goes. Good luck with your goals man…
