Do the first set of 8-10 then rest. Then drop the weight and do your second set of 10-15 then drop the weight again without rest and go til failure and repeat once more
I am on steroids. For exactly the reason Joe stated. I was impatient. Everyone around me was using and blowing up fast while i was half assed training/eating and not getting far. I hopped on and lost all my gains after first cycle because I knew nothing about diet, training and gear. Regret sacrificing my health so early just to loose my results. But there is no way could go back to being natural now. Thanks to Joe and other educators my diet and training is now on point so atleast while I damage my health I am gaining muscle.
Just thought id chime in as one of the people you are talking about. To sum it up it was impatience and body dysmorphia. Also I am from
the generation that cant watch a 10 min youtube vid without loosing focus but im working on it
Forgot to add, I do have both cable flys and pec deck in my program which are done from a fat upright position.
There is plenty of videos of cbum doing hacks. Anyway the exercise that is best is the one you can stick too. So loving them is as good a reason as any.
Also I assume taking your quads to failure with any half decent exercise will make them grow. Like leg press, hacks, pendulum, smith squats etc. Especially for cbum because of his genetics.
Look up broga in the search bar
Hi Josh, I use the same Watson hack at the gym I train. I typically use an app called ‘Angle Meter’ to adjust Hack Squat to 45° and then put footplate on hole 3 (roughly 45°) to mimic a Cybex 45° Hack. Make sure to wrap/sleeve knees on Working Set. Also helps to reverse band (1 Purple) taking a bit of tension off Knees in the hole. Hope this helps
Hi. Thanks for the advice. I always use knee sleves and reverse band anyway so this was helpful!
My gym has one of these also. I usually just stick it on what looks like a 45 degree angle, as i know many hacks are usually at 45 degrees. Its a bit of a pain trying to keep it consistent
My recovery is great and im progressing fine but I started training after turning vegan so i dont have much to compare it to. Also i use EAAs intra workout anyway as a safety net of sorts.
Thanks alot for the reply. Also the app is great, really goes above and beyond the price. Especially this forum feature is great. Thanks alot to you and Bryce for taking time out to do this.January 26, 2022 at 2:05 pm in reply to: Terrence 2021 olympia prep 2 smith incline presses? #237091
