Appreciate your response Bryce. Hope you know I was playing devils advocate and was not being argumentative. So thanks for your explanation and thought process! Makes a lot of sense

I understand the digestion component and to find foods that digest well to fuel appetite. But all studies that I have seen where calories are equated (and protein as well), there isn’t a clear change in body composition when foods are chosen differently whether carb based, fat based, and the food choices as long as protein is the same and total calories are consistent. Obviously there will be differences in satiation and digestion. But if the “base” of the diet is nutrient dense foods with micronutrients I’m curious how having a bowl of cereal or something that digests well to add extra calories would be detrimental.

Appreciate the responses Joe and Bryce. I will implement the change and see what happens and how my progression and recovery is. I have been progressing very well and recovery is on point with the anti flamingo, so will see how it changes with adding arms which should be relatively easy to recover from. Thanks!

I workout during the same timeframe and usually wake up and in a big water bottle mix EAAs, cyclic Dextrin, electrolytes and drink that before and during my workout. Seemed to make a big difference!

Saw some replies to previous questions that it is totally fine to start after the first black and run that all the way through and add additional weeks as well. Thanks!

Great detailed response, thank you Bryce. When slamming a protein shake 30 min before workout plus banana and liquids I always feel full and sluggish so this should definitely help.

Looking back through the forums…I saw that Bryce recommended not to eat anything prior to training (5am example) but to utilize EAA’s and an intra carb instead.

Any good recommendations on EAA’s an intra? I know Redcon is one but curious if people have favorites
